OUR PROGRAMS

SPIRITUAL HEALTH
Glasgow Ministries’ Spiritual Health Programs are comprehensive wellness initiatives that foster an individual’s spiritual well-being. These programs, which are part of broader wellness efforts, focus on nurturing the connection between mind, body, and spirit. They include activities such as meditation, mindfulness practices, and spiritual counseling. The goals of these programs are to promote inner peace and resilience, foster a sense of purpose, enhance overall well-being, and provide support through life transitions.
Glasgow Ministries will comprehensively address an individual’s physical and mental health, financial health, and community outreach/collaborations. Our goal is to leave no aspect of health and socio-economic disparities unaddressed in our communities.
PHYSICAL HEALTH
The leading health disparities plaguing our communities, such as cardiovascular disease (heart disease), diabetes, cancer, prostate cancer (Men), maternal mortality (pregnant mothers), and infant mortality (newborns), demand immediate attention. Some of the causes of these disparities are lack of access to quality health care, uninsured or underinsured, lack of quality providers, and the fear of the medical system within this country.
Glasgow Ministries’ cornerstone Physical Health and Wellness program is not a solitary effort. It aims to collaborate with quality healthcare providers in the community, making the community an integral part of the solution. It provides working workshops to educate the community about their physical and mental health, most notably helping them gain health insurance and cover medical costs they may incur.

MENTAL HEALTH
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, suicide is the third leading cause of death amongst African Americans. Some of the diseases are major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and Schizophrenia. Factors that contribute to mental health disparity are poor access to health, delayed treatment, fear of the medical system, and because of mental health stigma in our community.
Glasgow Ministries is dedicated to offering care to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs, particularly focusing on those who are uninsured, underinsured, and others who may face barriers to receiving treatment.
FINANCIAL HEALTH
The Glasgow Ministries Financial Health Program was created to assist individuals in improving their overall financial situation. Financial help includes managing savings, increasing retirement contributions, and effectively controlling fixed expenses. The program also guides managing expenses, preparing for and recovering from financial shocks, maintaining minimal debt, and building wealth.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The Mental Health initiative provides support through counseling services, workshops, and group therapies aimed at promoting emotional resilience and mental well-being for all individuals.
